Not Again--Poor George Pooh and the change of his eye medicines

Hi friends!
This is the ongoing saga of "How to Get George Pooh (Pooh Bee) Better" and we have had yet another exchange of eye drops since yesterday afternoon.

Let me explain what occurred.

I get home from Wal-Mart (I only work there once a week...to keep my employment open for working this summer) last night and the K-State and local vet have both left messages on my home phone.  Now...we have not one, but two new drop to replace the replacement drops.  ((Insert Scream of Frustration))

I hope that we have not deterred George's healing process.  Short of going to work and school all of my other social and spiritual engagements (i.e. going to church to worship and serve) have been halted until further notice.

He sees the specialists in Manhattan next Wednesday for a complete eye exam and to find out if further surgery is necessary, if my child does indeed have dry eyes, etc...I have worked out a deal with George.  He can have his "cone" off when he needs a drink of water or is eating.  When he goes to bed starting tonight, I will also take it off because my little angel already figures out how to take it off anyway during the middle of the night...and he does not bother his eyes so he will be okay and actually sleep.

The main times I worry is when his siblings go outside to take care of toileting...I will remove the cone once his siblings are done flicking the grass and such after they have eliminated...then George can go without his cone.  Also, he MUST have his cone on when no one is home and can observe him.  So...I would say his cone is on 75% of the time starting tonight.

Hopefully, no more phone calls from vets trying to change his medicines again and again.

Yep!  The post I put up last night is already old news as of the two new eye medicine routine 10X a day/each new drop that has developed...add that with his GenTeal 4X a day drops, Clavamoxx 2 times a day, and Deramaxx for pain 1X per day.

The nice thing is that I can worship at home since my church broadcasts live via on-line. :)

Hope all is well in your world.  Mine is highly structured with taking care of my Pooh-Bee.

Much Love,
Mindy :)

That's quite a task you have to do but I know it will be worth it in the end when all is well again.

Poor George. So frustrating! Tallulah gets ulcers, too. No medication works for her. The vet now automatically draws blood and creates a serum from her blood. That's the only thing that heals her ulcers. I also use a homeopathic medication called symphytum. It helps with the pain for her.
Puggy prayers that his eyes heal quickly.

Poor Georgie, but he has the best momma in the whole wide world so wesa just knows he is going to get better. Mom found out on Saturday when she took me that when I had broken blood vessels, the frankenvet should never have given me steroids in my eyes, cos that makes my ulcers worse.
Anyway we are sending Georgie Pooh lots of prayers each and everyday!!!
