This week was busy...furthermore, it made me feel my Thanksgiving will not be so much of a break.
Elementary Music (2 hours). Micro Teach 3 Presentations (Part 1) was completed...I did my music lesson over rhythm. Part 2 is next week (for those who have not presented). I finished my music final (the lesson plan) a few days ago...so I really just need to prepare for the recorder final.
Homework: Practice recorder and recorder final pieces.
Advanced Instructional Technology (3 hours). My instructor brought out his robot that he spent $400 on at Toys 'R' Us...and we will have this same instructor next semester for science...and the robots will be the focal point. Better get my engineering brain in gear! ((What...I don't have one? I better grow one by learning...quickly!!). I finished Project 14...a Web 2.0 for next class period using fotobabble (check it out).
Homework: Start working on & (possibly) finish Final Project
Math for Elementary Ed & Middle School Teachers I (3 hours). I hope to finish the paperwork (turn-in) portion of the performance assessment while on break. This week we learned about equations and functions.
Homework left: Review for Exam 4, create note card for exam, work on and finish paperwork for performance assessment.
Field & Lab Biology (3 hours). This week we learned about the skeletal system, muscles & nerves, skin receptors, and reflexes. The fun part of the day was working on our hand-eye coordination and our learning responses to games...such as complete a puzzle and then do it again...with both being timed.
Homework: None
Elementary Art (2 hours). Read three chapters of the Art textbook and did the weekly read, write, think assignment. The chapters read were entitled, "A Sequential Curriculum for Grades 1 & 2," "A Sequential Curriculum for Grades 3 & 4," and "A Sequential Curriculum for Grades 5 & 6."
Homework left: Work on Philosophy of Art Education paper and PowerPoint.
I think this next week will go quickly as I only meet for class Monday and have a pretty busy Thanksgiving week schedule at Wal-Mart...although today I gave a co-worker, who wanted more hours, my shift for Monday (7 hours), and will get to have an extra day off from work to work on final projects for school. Before I was at 34 hours for the upcoming work week (Saturday-Friday), now I am at a more manageable 27 hours.
Much Love,
Mama Mindy

We will give you a Good Laugh...
When Mom was taking the Teaching Of Elem. Music and had to learn to play the RECORDER... We had Angel Patty Cake... the FURST of a long line of Dachshunds... WELL the Recorder hurt Patty Cake's Ears so she got an ALTO Recorder to use at home to practice... One Day when Mom was getting ready to go to Classes... She couldn't find EITHER recorder... after a Frantic hour of searching the house over... she MOVED THE COUCH OUT... and THERE they BOTH were... right where Patty Cake had HIDDEN them...
We always suspected that it ended up being MORE of a problem with Mom's POOR PLAYING rather than the Pitch of the recorders. BaaaaWaaaah.
Our mom has two degrees in Elementary Education and is a musician but she never learned to play the recorder.
Bet your teacher enjoyed spending $400 on that robot, men love toys :) It is a sod when you hava a holiday and still have to do homework - reminds me of my school holidays.
Hope you get everything done.
