Thank You Sweet William & Radio Personality Janeen Coyle!! What an excellent Read...Must Buy...Think about Stocking Stuffers for future, present, or past teachers and Kids!!

Hi furiends!
Oursa mama will be mainly taking over this post'ums, but before she does...wesa like to Thank Sweet William the Scot for having a contest to win Ms. Coyle's book and also posting the book to us'uns with some special goodies!  Wesa like to think Janeen for making our mama and her mama have a happy read with bee-u-tea-full illustrations.  Now...wesa have a book pawtographed to us'uns (by Ms. Coyle and Tank the pug) that wesa can snuggle ups with the mamas to read and also for mama to use in her future classrooms.  Maybe wesa should start thinking about becoming therapy pugs so that wesa can go with mama to school, too. :)
Much Luvums,
The Slimmer Puggums

Before our mama's post, here are the goodies we got in the mail from Sweet William and Ms. Janeen Coyle.

The package of goodies:  Almost didn't want to open it up...looked too gorgeous!!

Sweet William the Scot's miniature picture...Love it!! (Might have to take him off the note he sent and turn him into a magnet!!)

The highlight of the package!!  Love this book!!

The icing on the cake.  Thanks William buddy for these delicious treats...and 1-2-3-4-5...you got one for each of us'uns!! Yay! You are simply a best furiend a pug could have...or rather 5 pugs could have!! :)

Hi friends!
My good kiddos had to get their thanks out there first...which is only proper as it is THEIR blog.  However, I would also like to thank Sweet William and his mama Lee for hosting this wonderful contest which allowed Ms. Janeen Coyle to choose my family as the recipient of such a delightful and beautifully illustrated book and to personally autograph (or as the puggums say "pawtograph" our copy).  I collect pug books as I am a pug mama and I will be student teaching during the 2014-2015 school year and soon will have my own classroom of kiddos.  I want children to be excited to read and to also share my passion of pugs.  This book does that and more.  It shows children the cycle of life in a very sensitive and comical way as well as encourages children to adopt their next life-long furiend.   I'm still shocked that we won the book out of all the great entries on William's blog...so much so...that I didn't check in with Williams blog (been behind in reading...caught up now) until a few days ago and realized that we won...and it had been a week since he posted that we won. (How rude of me!!)  I felt guilty that I had not seen it sooner, but I really did not think we would be the lucky chosen entrant in the contest.  Well...with that said, I quickly sent Sweet William and his mama Lee an e-mail and they told me and the puggums the book was already on its way.  No sooner had I read the e-mail then that same afternoon the package arrived.  I give the book 2 thumbs up, my mom gives the book 2 thumbs up (and some tears...she is highly empathetic) and my pugs give 20 paws up of approval.

According to Sweet Williams blog,  you can purchase "A Pug with a Plan" by Janeen Coyle via Amazon or Tate Publishing.

or

Here our some of my favorite pages (I hope Ms. Coyle doesn't mind...but I really LOVED this book and had to share my favorites from it.)

Who wouldn't love this photo progression of a pug's life?  The Elvis pug picture was ultra adorable!!

As I teach in the Aging Studies department at a local university, I find this picture highly sensitive to an aging dog.  Can you believe dogs are considered seniors at the age of 7?  My kiddos are 8, 8, 7, 4, and 3 1/2.  I cringe that they are getting older...but I love older puggums as they are more stable in personality and equally quirky and loveable!!

Finally, as a Christian and furry lover...I BELIEVE our pets are waiting for us in heaven!!

Seriously, a part-time college instructor/future elementary school teacher and multiple pugs have approved this book.  Go get yours today!  Thanks once again to Sweet William the Scot and Lee and to Ms. Janeen Coyle. :)

Much Love,
Mama Mindy :)
